What is RebatesMe and what does it offer?

RebatesMe is a cashback site that will allow you to earn cashback rewards if you avail of the cashback offers found on the site. It is indeed a legit site since you will really receive cashback rewards from their offers.

Now, the first step to figuring out if you should join this site is to understand how it works. And the only way to do that is to examine the earning opportunities it offers. So, here’s how to earn from RebatesMe.

Option 1 – Cashback offers

The primary way to earn from this site is through its cashback offers. Now, there are two ways you can avail of the cashback offers of RebatesMe.

You can use the member dashboard, or you can use the RebatesMe Google Chrome extension.

Let me first discuss how you can avail of cashback offers through the member dashboard. It’s relatively simple. All you have to do is log in to the member dashboard and look for any cashback offer you are interested in.

If you’ve found an offer you want, just click it, and it will take you to the details page, where you can see the terms to earn the cashback reward. Make sure to take note of the terms and follow them. Then, click the “Shop Now” button, and it will take you to the actual online store you have to buy from.

Simply complete the purchase. Once the store confirms your purchase, you’ll receive an email confirmation from RebatesMe indicating that the cashback reward has now been added to your account. Depending on the store, this can take from a few hours to several days.

What you need to keep in mind is that once you receive the email confirmation, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be able to withdraw your cashback reward. It just means that you’ve been confirmed for the cashback reward. You will still have to wait around 90 to 180 days (depending on the store’s refund period) for the cashback reward to be considered withdrawable.

The other way to avail of cashback offers is through the Google Chrome extension. All you have to do is install the extension and go through the setup process. Once it is set up, you can avail of cashback offers without logging in to the member dashboard.

You can just go to an online store directly, and if that store has cashback offers for RebatesMe, the extension will be able to recognize and apply it when you make the purchase. After completing the purchase, you’ll have to wait for confirmation and clear the refund period before you can withdraw your cashback reward.

It’s pretty much the same process, but the only difference is that you don’t have to log in to the member dashboard. It’s a much more convenient option, in my opinion.

While I was doing my testing, I noticed that there was always a lot of cashback offers available, and most of them were from popular brands and companies. There are even cashback offers from hotels and subscription services. This is a good thing because you will most likely find cashback offers you will be interested in.

Option 2 – Referral Program

You can earn additional rewards through RebatesMe’s referral program. In case you don’t know what a referral program is, it is a type of earning opportunity where you’ll be able to earn by essentially promoting the website.

All you need to do is invite people to join RebatesMe by sharing your referral link with them. When they click the link and sign up as a member of RebatesMe, they will become your referral.

You can also share your referral code with the person you want to invite. Just make sure to remind them to input the code when they sign up as a member of the site.

However, there is one requirement they need to meet before you’ll be able to earn. They have to earn at least $10 in cashback reward for you to receive a $10 referral reward. That is why you need to make sure that the people you invite are those that are really interested in earning cashback rewards as well.

How do you get paid?

As explained above, you will earn a specific amount every time you receive a cashback reward. It will be credited to your account balance. But as mentioned, you have to clear the refund period (usually around 90 to 180 days depending on the store) before you’ll be able to withdraw your earnings.

You can track the status of your cash back earnings in the account activity section, so you’ll know when you can withdraw your earnings. And speaking of withdrawing your earnings, you can only do so once you’ve earned at least $10 in cashback reward.

For your first cash out, your payment must include at least one rebate order. Also, you need to keep in mind that sign-up bonuses, first-order bonuses, referrals, and any other promotion do not count towards the minimum balance to cash out.

This is a bit strange, in my opinion, and usually, earnings like that can be counted towards the payout threshold on most other sites. But this is just something you have to accept if you want to use RebatesMe.

Once you meet the threshold, you’ll be able to withdraw your earnings via PayPal or have them mail you a check. You can also choose to deposit your earnings to your credit card (Visa/Mastercard), or you can convert your earnings to a gift card of your choice.

How much money can you make?

The amount you can earn from a cashback site will mostly depend on three things: how often you shop online, how many cashback offers are available, and how high the cashback rates are. As for their rates, based on what I’ve observed, most of their cashback rates will range from 3% to 10%.

But the good thing about RebatesMe, which I haven’t seen on other cashback sites, is that they have a section for double cashback where they list down all the stores that offer double cashback rates. And as I’ve mentioned earlier, they also have a good number of cashback offers available at any given time, so there’s a high chance you will find cashback offers you will be interested in.

That is why I would say the earning potential of RebatesMe as a cashback site is actually pretty decent. You will be able to earn cashback rewards regularly.

Can you use it on mobile?

RebatesMe used to have a mobile app, but it’s not available anymore. But the site can still be accessed from a mobile device using a mobile web browser.

The site is mobile-friendly, so you can conveniently access the cashback offers. The browser extension, however, doesn’t work with mobile web browsers. So, if you want to avail of cashback offers using your mobile device, you’ll have to log in to the member dashboard.

Who can join RebatesMe?

RebatesMe is available more or less worldwide. However, most of the cashback offers are for people who live in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, and some countries in Europe. You might find a few cashback offers for other countries, but the bulk of the offers are for the countries mentioned above.
