Graduation for class of 2020 and 2021 Year in Business students

It was wonderful to see the Year in Business class of 2020 and 2021 back at Royal Holloway last week celebrating
at their belated graduation ceremonies with families and friends. While Covid
had delayed the celebrations it hadn’t stopped them altogether: this was such a
memorable celebration in the beautiful College Chapel, with singing
from the college choir and inspiring speeches from Head of School and the
University Vice Chancellor.

 It was good for Graduates to reconnect with those they studied with and for staff to hear their news … some Year in Business graduates have returned to the companies where they did their industrial placements, others used the placement experience to help them secure graduate roles with other companies, while others have undertaken further study.

 I enjoyed talking to many of the former YIBs including Heather, who returned to the same Finance team at Asahi Europe where she did her placement and Hannah who has joined a different team at PwC. Anjali used her placement experience to secure a role with Nestle while Rafa is doing an MSc in Accounting and Finance at LSE.

Year in Business graduates at last week’s Graduation ceremonies have gone onto companies such as Asahi Europe, Atos, Awin, Canvas Reply, Capgemini, Cisco, De Vere group, Deloitte, EY, gocertify, Hable, KPMG, Mercedes Benz, Nestle, Oracle, PwC, Saga, SAP, The Walt Disney Company, Treatwell, United Fitness Brands, VMWare and many more…. Others are doing further study such as MSc in Digital marketing andr MSc Digital Innovation and Analytics.
