Evaluating FB Page Performance study notes
– Metrics help you understand the page's performance.
– You can read the metrics in official Facebook's tool namely Insight.
– To read the page insight, click insight tab in the page. see the image below.
– In the overview section, you can see :
a. How many Page like in the particular range of date (today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 28 days).
b. The number of page views in the particular range of date.
c. The amount of post reach in the particular range of date.
d. Your 5 most recent posts.
e. The number of time people engage with your post.
– The metrics examples :
a. Measure post success.
Go to Posts section, click posts like the image below.
This section shows information about the posts you've published to your page.
This metrics shows you :
– how many people saw the post -> see at the reach column.
– how many clicks, like, shares of your post -> see at the engagement column.
– What types of posts resonate best with audience -> find the highest number in the engagement column, then see the type of posts such as link, photo, etc.
b. When your fans are online
This information can help you find and decide the best times to share posts.
Summary : this data insight can help you decide what to post next especially type of post and time to post.
– After observing posts section, we've to look at people section.
– People section in page's insight can help you knowing who's engaging with your post, like age, gender, location, language, etc.
In this section, there are four tabs, they are:
a. Your fans: people who have liked your page.
b. Your followers: people who follow your page.
c. People reached: people who had any post from your page appear in their news feed.
d. People engaged: people talking about your page.
