This is my personal notes from Facebook Blueprint course. The title is Growing your business on Facebook, and the subject is Creating Facebook page.
I summarized only the thing related to posting to a page.
Below are the notes:
There are three page post types:
1. Status
2. Photo/video
3. Offer, event, milestone, and note.
You can use offer to inform your audience about timely discount (such as coupon). They can claim on your page and they bring it into the store.
You can use event to choose the audience to receive the event notice. When they accept the event, it will be added to their personal Facebook calendar (they will receive reminders).
You can create milestone on your page to celebrate milestones for your business.
You can create a note (like blog post) that your audience can read within Facebook without leaving your page.
There are two types of post schedule:
1. Publishing schedule: select a date and time in the future for when you want your post to be published.
2. Distribution schedule: Select a date and time in the future for when you want your post to stop being shown in news feed.
