Story

From humble beginnings to becoming a global Cash Back site

2005 TopCashback was founded on a shoestring budget, with founders Mike and Olly running the company from home.

2007 After a tough couple of years, TopCashback finally began to flourish, with the site reaching a milestone of 10,000 members.

2008With the continued growth and hire of the first employees, Mike and Olly decided to find our first office space.

2010 By this time, with a growing team, it was time to expand into a bigger office space in Uttoxeter, UK.

2011 We reached 1 million members in the UK, opened a second office in London and launched the American TopCashback website.

2012 TopCashback launched its Indian website, and we've now made two TV adverts which helped further boost the popularity of the company.

2014 Having over 2 million members and 50 employees globally, things were going well for us. TopCashback also sealed the deal on our new main headquarters in Stafford.

2015 This year, we moved into our new headquarters and launched the China TopCashback website.

2016 Now with over 5 million members worldwide, TopCashback was voted as Industry's Choice of Publisher, and Cashback Site of the Year by Moneyfacts.

2018 In 2018 we had 150 employees across all our offices and had been voted Industry's Choice of Publisher three times. Our US employees moved to a new and bigger office in Rochelle Park, NJ, and our Bolton tech office grew to 33 people.

2019nTopCashback officially hit the 15 million members mark, with over 240 employees, globally. Our sister company MyMoneyPocket was launched alongside the German TopCashback website.

2020 We won the Moneyfacts Cashback Site of the Year award for the fourth time in the UK.

Although TopCashback has grown exponentially since the beginning in 2005, we are still committed to our mission of being the most generous Cash Back company in the world.

Impact Investing, in short, means that we are investing our advertisement revenue into organisations that have a genuine intention to generate a tangible, beneficial social or environmental impact.

Bluefield invests in solar energy across the UK, which contributes directly towards the decarbonisation of electricity generation.

Vodacom provides business services to customers in over 40 African countries, creating socio-economic benefits for local populations in developing countries.

DS Smith is a global provider of corrugated packaging and a specialist in plastic packaging. Their expertise in supply and recycling allows the company to offer high quality, environmentally friendly solutions that answer all the customers' packaging needs.

Gresham House Timberland LP owns an established portfolio of UK commercial forests. We wanted to invest here for the obvious environmental and climatic benefits forestry can have.

Abiomed develops and manufactures the world’s smallest heart pump, which is used to treat coronary heart disease and heart attacks.

We have invested heavily in the restoration and fortification of UK forestry

We also help our members make direct charity donations with their Cash Back

Alongside our fundraising efforts and our TopCharity function, TopCashback members can donate to a charity. We currently feature over 450 charities on the UK site for members to choose from and donate to.

Since our beginning in 2005, our members have donated over $200,000 to charities using the option to donate when requesting their Cash Back.

TopCharity is our independent charities division, which houses all of the charities that are available for members to donate their Cash Back to.
