Pakistanis living abroad have made important contributions to the economy of their motherland through various remittance routes. The State Bank of Pakistan's Roshan Digital Account is the newest of these channels, having been introduced in September 2020.
Roshan Digital Accounts have reportedly been used by Pakistanis residing overseas to send an amazing Rs. 1.7 trillion back to their home nation in just 3.5 years.
The State Bank of Pakistan has expressed thanks to overseas Pakistanis for their support and belief in this innovative program.

In addition to making it easier for foreigners to manage their money in Pakistan, the Roshan Digital Account has also considerably boosted that country's economy. It is a move in the right approach toward a more financially and technologically inclusive Pakistan.
